Urgent Symptom Clinic
If you are a medically stable, adult patient at MD Anderson and need urgent care for treatment-related symptoms , the Urgent Symptom Clinic is here to help.
The Urgent Symptom Clinic is MD Anderson¡¯s outpatient urgent care center focused on patients who need evaluation and management of treatment-related symptoms.
When to go to the Urgent Symptom Clinic
Care team members at the Urgent Symptom Clinic are experts in treating the unique needs of our cancer patients. Symptoms they address include, but aren't limited to:
- Stomach pain
- Constipation
- Cough, congestion or sore throat
- Dehydration
- Diarrhea
- Fatigue, nausea or vomiting
- Fever or chills
- Pain
- Rash
- Urinary tract infection symptoms
The Urgent Symptom Clinic does not treat patients with medical emergencies. If you have an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency center.
Urgent Symptom Clinic appointments
Appointments are required at the Urgent Symptom Clinic. It does not accept walk-in patients.
You can self-schedule an appointment through . Your care team can also schedule an appointment for you.
Appointments are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
After hours, you can call AskMDAnderson at 713-792-2121 if you have questions or need help with urgent symptoms. You can also call for help with your MyChart account, including self-scheduling with the Urgent Symptom Clinic.
How to get to the Urgent Symptom Clinic
The Urgent Symptom Clinic is in the Main Building, Floor 2, near Elevator B, in the Ambulatory Treatment Center.
