The annual Advancements in Translational Science for Pain Management in Cancer Care Symposium is typically held in May. The symposium serves as a catalyst for collaborative innovation in pain sciences, bringing together experts from diverse backgrounds to address the complex challenges of cancer-related pain. This unique platform fosters interdisciplinary discussions on cutting-edge research, bridging the gap between basic science discoveries and clinical applications. At the conclusion of the symposium, attendees will be able to:
Highlights from the 2025 Pain Management in Cancer Care Symposium
The Pain Research Consortium hosted a seminar series featuring leading speakers from basic and clinical pain research. The focus spanned all aspects of research relevant to ending pain in cancer and cancer survivors, from fundamental mechanisms underlying the transduction and perception of pain, to patient-reported outcomes measures, to public health policymaking.
In 2024, the seminar series transitioned to the Neurobiology Seminar Series, under the auspices of the Department of Symptom Research.
