Hong¡¯s research primarily focuses on a comprehensive single-cell transcriptomic analysis that examines the malignant transformation of normal lung tissue to lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) in mouse models. She is investigating the oncogenic initiation and progression of tumor cells, as well as the dynamic interactions between tumor cells and the tumor microenvironment (TME) over time.

Hui's research focuses on advancing early detection strategies for lung cancer by evaluating the malignancy risk of pulmonary nodules to enable timely diagnosis and intervention. She also investigates various factors, including biomarkers, that may predict treatment effectiveness and patient prognosis. Her work is dedicated to identifying patients who will benefit most from different therapies (such as chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy) with a focus on optimizing personalized treatment approaches to ultimately improve patient outcomes.

As a postdoctoral fellow, Shao-Wei has been working on lung precancer research, with a focus on understanding the biological and immune mechanisms underlying lung cancer initiation and progression. His research uses preclinical models and molecular and immunological approaches to investigate the evolution of lung precancerous lesions and their interactions with the immune microenvironment, with the goal of identifying potential targets and developing novel strategies for lung cancer interception and prevention.

Utilizing cutting-edge technologies, including single cell sequencing and advanced spatial gene and protein analyses, Yanhua is committed to an in-depth exploration of the tumor microenvironment (TME) throughout tumor initiation, invasion and metastasis. By conducting molecular profiling of diverse cellular populations, immune landscapes, and key molecules within the TME, his goal is to unravel the complex dynamics driving tumor progression mechanisms.
