Welcome to the Liang Lab! The fundamental question driving our research is how to take full advantage of cancer genomics data to understand the molecular basis of human cancer. We can then use this understanding to develop effective therapeutic strategies, thereby contributing to the true promise of personalized or precision cancer therapy. Combining both computational and experimental approaches, our research focuses on the following four areas: (1) AI-driven bioinformatic tool development, (2) characterization of tumor-intrinsic vulnerabilities for precision oncology, (3) characterization of tumor-microenvironment vulnerabilities for cancer immunotherapy and (4) RNA modification in cancer development and therapy.
