Vice President, Inpatient Medical Operations
Marina George, M.D., is vice president of inpatient medical operations and professor of hospital medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Kerala and completed her internal medicine residency at St. Vincent¡¯s Medical Center in New York, followed by an MBA from Rice University. With more than 20 years of experience, George has led institutional efforts to improve inpatient cancer care and published widely on hospital readmissions, integrative therapies and critical care in oncology. Her work focuses on advancing patient-centered, goal-concordant care for individuals with serious illness.

Associate Professor, Critical Care Medicine
Nico Nortj¨¦, Ph.D., serves as an associate professor in Critical Care Medicine. With a Ph.D. in Ethics and over two decades of experience spanning Africa, Canada and the United States, his work focuses on end-of-life care, health care ethics and communication with vulnerable populations. He has published extensively, coedited several books and remains deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of health care professionals in ethical decision-making, compassionate care, and goal concordant care.
Kristofer Griffith, MBA, CIP
Program Director, Center for Goal Concordant Care
With an MBA in Healthcare Management and his B.A. from Âé¶¹Ó³» at Austin, Kristofer has over 27 years of experience at MD Anderson. He has a strong research and compliance background, and his primary commitment is to the protection and overall welfare of patients. He currently leads a program management team overseeing various projects focused on goal concordant care.

Corbin Dill, MPH, CCRP
Program Manager, Center for Goal Concordant Care
Corbin Dill holds a Master of Public Health from the UT School of Public Health and a B.A. from Rice University. He has been with MD Anderson since 2008. With a strong background in research and public health, Corbin is committed to exploring data to review ongoing processes in the hopes of improving goal concordant care outcomes.
Eric Alanis, MHA
Program Manager, Center for Goal Concordant Care
Eric Alanis holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Texas A&M University. He brings over nine years of experience managing complex health care initiatives, with a focus on program implementation, operational efficiency, and strategic project leadership in a variety of hospital settings. His work is driven by a deep commitment to advancing goal concordant care, ensuring that patient values, preferences, and goals are consistently reflected in the care they receive.
Barry Wiese, DC, M.S., CPHQ
Clinical Program Manager, Center for Goal Concordant Care
Barry Wiese, DC, holds a Doctorate in Chiropractic and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and Management. He is certified in multiple domains of quality improvement, including recognition as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (NAHQ), Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (ASQ), Certified Quality Process Analyst (ASQ), and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (ASQ). With over 30 years of experience in health care, Wiese has served in leadership roles across a wide range of settings. He is now dedicated to advancing goal concordant care by ensuring that care delivery reflects what matters most to patients.
Mary Senkel, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Center for Goal Concordant Care
Mary Senkel is a family nurse practitioner working as Goals of Care advanced practice provider. Mary received her bachelor¡¯s in science of nursing from Johns Hopkins University and her master¡¯s in science of nursing from Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth. Her current practice aims to ensure patient¡¯s goals, values and preferences align with their medical treatment for greater goal concordant care.
Linda Luu, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Center for Goal Concordant Care
Linda Luu is a family nurse practitioner at MD Anderson, where she has worked since 2009, with the past decade focused on Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy. She holds nursing degrees from the University of Texas at Houston[GG1] and Texas Woman¡¯s University and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at UT Arlington. In her new role centered on goal-concordant care, she is passionate about delivering care that aligns with each patient¡¯s values and priorities.
Gary Martinez, DNP, BSN, RN
Nursing Professional Development Specialist, Nursing Education
Gary Martinez is a registered nurse and is a goal concordant educator in Nursing Professional Development. He holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Abilene Christian University and has extensive experience in teaching, clinical practice, management and administration. Gary is passionate about promoting goal concordant care and integrates this approach into his clinical work.
Victoria (Tori) McClosky, BSN, B.A., RN
Nursing Professional Development Specialist, Nursing Education
Tori McClosky is a nursing professional development specialist. She leads interdisciplinary education initiatives focused on Goal-Concordant Care (GCC) communication. With a clinical background in inpatient oncology, ambulatory breast cancer care, and a foundation in psychology, she brings a holistic, patient-centered approach to improving care delivery. Tori has developed and implemented training for nurses, social workers, chaplains and case managers to enhance values-based communication and support shared decision-making at the end of life.
Enefe Adaji, MHA, CPHQ, LSSGB
Program Manager, Office of Patient Experience
Enefe Adaji is a program manager in the Office of Patient Experience at MD Anderson. She supports the institution¡¯s Goals of Care initiatives by managing the administrative needs of the communication skills programs such as REDE, SICG and COMFORT. Enefe holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and brings a diverse experience in management, data analytics, and process improvement.

Kendell Kasper is a program coordinator in the Office of Patient Experience and has been at MD Anderson for 3 years. Kendell holds a Master of Health Administration from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and a Bachelor of Science from Âé¶¹Ó³» at Austin. She has a background in Patient Experience, serving as a Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP). Kendell¡¯s focus is with the Communication Skills team, where she specializes in understanding participant needs and analyzes feedback surveys to enhance the effectiveness of the training programs for Goal Concordant Care.
