Curriculum
The field of Radiation Therapy presents the professional with the unique opportunity to blend the knowledge of mathematics, medical science, psychology, and critical thinking while providing hands-on patient care.
This intensive two-year program is composed of a didactic phase followed by directed clinical training at affiliated hospitals and cancer centers. During the didactic phase, formal lectures cover human anatomy, physiology, radiation therapy physics, radiation oncology, pathology, radiation biology, treatment planning, medical dosimetry, quality assurance and patient care.

Students entering the two-year track at the junior level take 80 semester credit hours towards their degree.
The semester-by-semester schedule includes all courses needed to graduate, but the sequence is subject to change. This includes traditional face-to-face and distance education-hybrid degree program.

Distance Education
The formal educational process that occurs when students and instructors are in separate physical locations for the majority (more than 50 percent) of instruction.
Hybrid Degree Program
A degree program in which students complete 50 percent or more and less than 100 percent of the credit hours required for the program through Distance Education Courses.
Hybrid Course
A distance education course in which more than 50 percent but less than 100 percent of instructional activity takes place when the student(s) and instructor(s) are in separate physical locations.
Online Course
A distance education course in which 100 percent of instructional activity takes place when the student(s) and instructor(s) are in separate physical locations. Requirements for on-campus or in-person orientation, testing, academic support services, internships/fieldwork, or other non-instructional activities do not exclude a course from this category.
